Dr Weerasinghe is a Consultant Psychiatrist with a special interest in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

She obtained her medical qualifications from the University of Colombo Sri Lanka.

She obtained her post graduate qualifications (MD Psychiatry ) from the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine in Colombo Sri Lanka

She completed her post-graduate training in Sri Lanka and Melbourne, Australia.

She is currently practising at Ninewells Hospital Narahenpita and Nawaloka Hospital in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
