Dr Khal Alsaee is a dual specialist in Pain Medicine and Psychiatry.  He completed his medical school training in Dublin at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2007.  He moved to North Queensland in 2009 and completed his training in Psychiatry, sub-specialising in addiction and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 2015.  He then completed his training in Pain Medicine and become a Fellow of the Faculty of Pain Medicine; Australian & New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2016.

In 2017 he moved to the Sunshine Coast where he practices in full-time private practice focussing on both inpatient and outpatient care, education and medicolegal assessments.  He is passionate about medical education and believes firmly that healthcare professionals must collaborate more with each other to achieve the best outcomes.  He works with patients, families and other health professionals to be able to think of better ways to deliver better education, treatment and care outside the consultation room.
